Bintan Trip Dec 2012
Went to Bintan with this teddy bear on last year Dec, really wanna a short getaway so much & he finally willing to go with me so happy heh heh. Had never went bintan in my life before and not many of my friends went there so I got no idea what/where/how should i go or stay in Bintan. Did hell loads of research & i guess i was over confidence by myself because this bintan trip end up became a joke to both of us....
Head over to Tenah Merah Ferry Terminal early in the morning like 7am+? kinda forget alr, was so stunned by the terminal because we thought it will look like those japalan terminal HAHA. Bought some breakfast stone and finally board the ferry! this teddy bear fell asleep immediately when we board the ferry. boring 45mins ride :(
And this is when it's all started.. Alight from the Terminal and we were so lost, approached by some staffs from the taxi transportation company and we told them our hotel! The look on their face were so priceless, they then brought us into the office, and show us a map. Our hotel is on the other end of Bintan, and they told us we should have went to the other ferry terminal, not this BBFT. wtf right, Taxi to our hotel is SGD60, and they told us to book a hotel near BB ferry terminal area cos they said our hotel is located at city area and there will be nothing to do, beach will be 1hr ride away too. seriously fml. bf was like thought you did a lot of research alr ..
Discussed w bf, because don't want to spend money again on other hotel so we decide to took cab to our hotel, DAMN STUPID K, we should book the hotel they recommend because end up we spend even more money..
Ride was 1hr30mins away, damn tiring but the scenery and the road was fun though. The driver was kinda friendly introduce us different places, and even offer to fetch to the nearest beach after we reach our hotel. Check in immediately, put down our bag and we hop on to the cab again to the Trikora Beach which they said is the prettiest, whitest, cleanest beach in Bintan.
Ok can, we alight & we were so fucking lost. Both of us keep laughing for non stop because we like damn stupid. Settle our lunch at this random so called restaurant. Fucking lots of mosquito k ): But the food not bad quite nice heh.
Went down to the beach after lunch, the beach really damn pretty but there's nothing much we can do because we don't want to get wet as we didn't bring our clothes out. So we just stand at there and stare at the beach.... kinda stupid k.
The beach only popular for swimming, sigh I want my kayaking, snorkeling, ATV ride, banana boat, elephant ride, and so on. Damn sad k because all these only available at Niwarna Gardens.....
Decided to try their coconut drinks, ok that's sucks not sweet at all. Stone and we went to the restaurant we had earlier to ask for help LOL. They told us we can go to argo beach resort there to have those water sports & games. We thought yay finally we can have some fun after all these hilarious moments. The lady boss was kind enough to ask her friend to fetch us over and we gave them SGD10.
ok so we finally reach, and i guess we were really unlucky to the max, BECAUSE THE BEACH WAS HAVING LOW TIDE SO SWAY OR NOT YOU TELL ME. Both of us were really speechless, it was still so early and we got no idea what we can do. Walk around and cam whore instead.

went into this store to buy my magnet as usual, I wanna collect all the magnet wherever i go, quite sad that I didn't start this collection earlier. Saw magnum ice cream and bought it to make both of us happy. & to be honest, this is my first time having magnum ice cream. damn awesome!
Took photo with this pretty horse & the man let me go up for free. normally they will charge money for photo right. nice man muaahha. hehehe.
sat down & chill and I force bf to go down to the sand with me because i saw a lot of people walking around like damn fun. Walk for damn long and to my horror WE WERE STEPPING ON LIKE HUNDRED THOUSAND OF HERMIT CRABS........ no wonder i keep seeing people squatting down like they digging for gold. -_-
all the black dots on the sand are actually all hermit crab oh my god.
quickly went up, found a nice good spot and we decide to have power nap. if only this bf is keen, i would have go for some good spa to pamper myself ): End up we slept for 1hr, oh my god. spend money to come here and sleep. ok can.
went for seafood kelong restaurant, and we request to sit by the beach. some romantic time heheh. All the food was damn awesome, but some bad thing was the girl who did our order did some mistake, we waited for like 30mins for our food. worst thing the girl seem to went missing after our order. was damn hungry i swear omg. Food was damn cheap, and i guess the only cheap thing in Bintan.
After eating, the next thing we gonna trouble is HOW WE GO BACK TO OUR HOTEL. Walk for a few rounds and we decide to head to the Argo beach lobby to ask for help, and they wanna us pay SGD50 for the transport. what the fuck k, we came here for free from our hotel and now they wanna us pay so much not like our hotel is 3hrs away right. But we got no choice lah, the receptionist suggest us to call our hotel to send us transport & it will be cheaper but they couldn't get through our hotel. Told bf that I don't mind paying SGD50 because I don't want to wait another 45mins for the transport to reach us, I wanna go back to our hotel room asap. So we make the payment and the car reach less than 5 min :o The road back was damn scary because there's no road light etc.
Initially we wanna re-book our ferry at Tanjung Pinang which is near to our hotel but the the tickets add up i rather take cab back to BB Ferry terminal. So we book cab at 1pm the next day.
So so so happy & good to be back in our hotel room. :3 good thing about the hotel is there's so many TV channel to watch!
So that pretty sum up our Funny Day 1.
Day 2
Force bf up for breakfast, one bad thing is bf hate to wake up early for breakfast! have to literally force him up one. We are the only one in the whole cafe. Food was alright only.
Toast bread is a must have in all breakfast buffet! hehehe. Went back to hotel to wash up and we head over to city area for a short shopping. Decide to walk to the shopping mall as we got no idea how to take public transport, 15-20mins walk only so still okay lah get to see the village life over there.
The shopping mall was kinda boring, nothing to see and buy. bought maggie mee and drinks back hehe. Found the public transport and we head back to our hotel. quite cool k their bus.
Stone at their lobby for their wifi, actually the hotel surrounding quite chilling if you just wanna have a simple getaway. Went around the hotel area and they got a nice view of the sea!
Went back to our hotel room to pack our stuffs and this is how our hotel room look like. Quite good actually hehe. went to lobby to wait for our car and again 1hr30mins ride back to BBFTM. save me..
Reach BBFTM at about 1pm+, check in and we settle our lunch at this cafe. Damn chilling k. The food was awesome too!

Boarding Time and bid goodbye to Bintan! as usual bf slept through the whole ferry ride, was so boring that i fell asleep during last 15 mins ride. exchange our money back to SGD and call cab back home. Went to Jolene's farewell dinner immediately after that. Gonna miss working with this girl. ;(
So sum up of this Bintan Trip was a pretty funny one yet memorable. Actually it's good that we make a mistake if not i guess i won't understand the whole structure of bintan already. Literally travel to the end of Bintan back & forth. I wanna go again, and this time i must stay at the nirwana garden! Still wanna play all my water sport games k. so that's all hope bf won't hate me HAHA.
